History
From 1964, the “48×72” assembly principle allowed Pierre Chapo to extend his catalog. He drew on the endless combinations of this assembly to create furniture of great finesse, as demonstrated by the S10 leather armchair, which quickly became one of the leading models at the Chapo gallery.

Pierre Chapo’s design for the S 10, which is no doubt a reference to Le Corbusier’s LC2, was a big hit when presented to the public. It can be fully dismantled and beautifully combines the paradoxes of complex assembly and a sober, simple design. Two pieces of leather are stretched between the frame and the armrests are made of leather strips suspended on the seat’s uprights. The entire structure is held together by the tension of the leather seat on the frame, maintained by woven linen cords.
