History
« Better than any other, the design of our table T 14 conveys the weight, strength and texture of solid wood. Its comes in 5 different sizes for 4 to 12 people and may be extented if desired by one or two supplementary leaves D 08.
Deliberately heavy, our chair S 11 is wide and comfortable and is the perfect addition to a very solid table. Our chair S 24 is lighter and much sought after for its elegance and simplicity.
Our bench S 14 economises on both raw material and space : it is more specifically designed, very robust and will seat 5 people while occupying the space of 3 chairs. » Pierre Chapo Décembre 1976

T 14
PILLAR TABLE : 4, 6, 8, 10 SEATS
A rectangular top with inclined and round edges, two pillars and a high cross bar. An extension D08 can add two seats.
The table has pure lines and a striking monumental presence. The width of the pillars and the size of the top are reminiscent of the altars in ancient temples. While in some respects the T 14 seems to come from faraway, a bygone era, it also displays a very modern design. In differing lengths—180 centimeters, 220 centimeters or more—the T 14 becomes a contemporary version of the “monastery table.” The slanting sides of the tabletop and the angles of the pillar legs give the piece great harmony. The T 14 made a strong impression when it was presented and instantly became a timeless piece in the Chapo catalog.
